If you are bad at math, this is not your fault. We were simply not taught in school mathematical tricks with which any calculations become elementary. These are techniques by which you can easily count in your mind.
Quick squaring
This technique will help to quickly square a two-digit number, which ends by 5. Multiply the first digit by itself + 1, and add 25 at the end. That's all!
Tip counting
If you need to leave a 15% tip, there is an easy way to determine how much it is. Calculate 10% (divide the number by 10), and then add the resulting number to its half and get the answer.
Subtract from 1000
To perform a subtraction from 1000, you can use this simple rule: subtract from 9 all digits except the last, and subtract the last digit from 10.
Multiplication by 5
Divide the number by 2. If the result is an integer, add a 0 at the end. If not, ignore the comma and add 5 at the end.
Complex multiplication
If you need to multiply large numbers, one of them being even, you can simply regroup them to get the answer.
