Many people, even those who love to cook homemade and delicious food, for some reason, are afraid of cooking dishes with dough. But the paradox is that once you try to bake a cake or pies, it becomes immediately clear that there really are no difficulties.
You can do it, even if you take it for the first time!
Puff pastry is very easy to use. It’s almost impossible to spoil it. And most importantly - you can simply buy ready-made dough, and not do it yourself. Sweet and salty pies, pies with different fillings, various snacks can be made from this dough. I'll show you how to make different holiday cakes:
Christmas tree chocolate pie, gingerbread tree, Christmas tree of baked stars, Christmas tree of cupcakes with cream, Christmas tree pie with soft cheese and greens, Christmas wreath pie with Camembert and cranberry jam, closed berry pie, baked Christmas trees on skewers.
So here are some recipes.
Cookies with jam filling.
Cut out dough pairs of different figures: Christmas trees, hearts, squares, circles - whatever you want. In half of them cut out small holes. Bake 10 minutes at 180 degrees. Cookies with holes sprinkle with powdered sugar. Smear cookies without holes with your favorite jam - strawberry, apple, apricot. Put on them cookies with holes of the same shape - a heart on a heart, a circle on a circle, and so on. Done!
Christmas wreath pie with Camembert and cranberry jam
Take a round piece of dough. Put a ring of cranberry jam on it. Cover with another round piece of dough. Cut a circular hole in the center. Put a Camembert there and make some shallow cuts on it. Fields cheese with olive oil and sprinkle with herbs. Make cuts on the pie and fold the dough as I have shown. Brush the dough with the egg. Bake the pie for 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
Closed cake with berries
Cover a round baking dish with a round piece of dough. Put inside the different berries that you like: cranberries, currants, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries... Cover the cake with a round "lid" of dough, cut the holes in it with a mold before. Bake for half an hour at 180 degrees.
